Living Spring Harrisburg (LSH) started as a parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God on November 2, 2003 at the Comfort Inn on Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg. Under the pastorate of Pastor Funmi Obilana, the RCCG Living Spring Miracle Center, Philadelphia, conceptualized the idea of establishing a Redeemed Church in Harrisburg. In attendance on that first night were eight people from Harrisburg and fifteen from Philadelphia. Pastor Tunde Oyelowo was called to the pastorate of the new church. The group continued to meet as a Sunday evening fellowship until the end of the year.
On January 4, 2004, the church moved to Four Points Sheraton on East Park Drive and held her first Sunday morning worship. At the end of August the church leased a space at 1001B North Mountain Road, Linglestown Plaza, Harrisburg, PA 17112, and held her first worship there on September 5, 2005. Brookfield Bible Church assisted the new church with sixty metal chairs and a lectern, as well as Communion trays and plates.
Since January 2004, our services have brought together worshippers from Harrisburg, Lebanon, Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Middletown, Mt. Joy and Mechanicsburg. We have experienced growth in many areas of ministry. We thank the Lord for our growth — not only numerically, but also spiritually. Members have experienced spiritual maturity, regeneration and breakthroughs through the various ministrations offered.
In obedience to the Great Commission, LSH supports both local and overseas missions. Six additional local parishes have also been started — York in 2008, Lancaster in 2012, Haitian Assembly in 2017, French (service de l'église) in 2017, Carlisle in 2019, and Spanish (Fuente de Vida) in 2019. The church is blessed with members from many nations of the world.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has its origin in Nigeria, West Africa. It was started in 1952 through an anointed man of God, Pa Josiah Akindayomi. The current General Overseer is Pastor Enoch Adeboye. The church has grown by leaps and bounds and currently has parishes in many African countries, Europe and North America.
Our congregation is led by Pastor Paul Mintre, Senior Pastor of RCCG Eglise Francophone. With a heart for prayer, sound teaching and a welcoming community, he shepherds our church family here in Harrisburg.
Our mission is to be a Maison de Prières — a house of prayer — where individuals and families encounter Jesus Christ, grow spiritually and discover their purpose. We aim to transform lives, empower people and impact our community through prayer, teaching and service. As part of the global RCCG family, we uphold the authority of the Bible and seek to reflect God's love in all that we do.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and provides guidance for everyday life. We confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. We believe in the power of prayer and the work of the Holy Spirit in transforming lives. Our fellowship encourages holiness, righteousness and the pursuit of God's kingdom.
Our offices, Sunday services and many of our activities are based at our property at 3608 N Progress Ave, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Sunday worship in French begins at 10 AM. We look forward to welcoming you.
